Job summary

Grand Traverse Resort and Spa in Michigan is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor Intern for Summer 2026 to lead the daily cleaning of rooms, condo units and public spaces, while training and motivating room attendants and linen porters.

You will gain hands-on management experience in productivity tracking, inventory control, and daily department logistics, with exposure to safety standards and guest service excellence. This internship prepares you for a career in resort operations.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience or experience with customer service.
• Prefer minimum 1 year supervisory experience in hotel or resort setting.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have a current valid Michigan driver’s license.
• General understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and promote a safe housekeeping environment and follow procedures.
• Maintain records of rooms cleaned and file appropriately.
• Complete and submit required reports accurately and timely.
• Ensure maintenance issues are dispatched and completed timely.
• Verify housekeeping carts and linen closets are stocked and clean.
• Inspect rooms after cleaning to ensure standards before release.
