Job summary

Spirit Mountain in Duluth, MN is seeking a seasonal Resort Facilities Attendant for the winter season. The role covers upkeep, housekeeping, snow removal, and event setup to keep our resort safe, clean, and welcoming for guests.

You will operate snow plows, snow blowers, and various tools, performing routine maintenance and collaborating with team members to deliver an exceptional guest experience during peak season.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of facility maintenance experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Experience with carpentry, drywall, painting, electrical, or plumbing.
• Familiarity with snow removal equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular facility maintenance and seasonal grounds upkeep, including snow removal.
• Housekeeping duties such as trash, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning bathrooms.
• Operate snow plow trucks and snow blowers safely.
• Execute basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and painting.
• Maintain documentation and report needs to management.

As a seasonal Resort Facilities Attendant, you’ll be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of Spirit Mountain's facilities during the bustling winter season. This includes housekeeping, building repairs, snow removal, and event preparation, ensuring our resort remains clean, functional, and safe for guests. You’ll have the chance to work independently and collaborate with our team to deliver an outstanding experience for visitors.

You’ll get to operate equipment such as snow plows, snow blowers, and various tools while performing tasks like seasonal grounds maintenance and event setup/tear-down. If you enjoy working in a beautiful environment, having fun co-workers, and want to be part of an iconic ski resort, this is the job for you! This position is full-time for the winter season.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Facility Maintenance and Repairs: Perform regular maintenance, seasonal grounds upkeep, and housekeeping duties, including snow removal.
• Housekeeping: Perform regular housekeeping duties such as taking out trash, vacuuming, mopping floors, cleaning tables and windows, and cleaning bathrooms.
• Equipment Operation: Operate snow plow trucks, snow blowers, and other equipment safely to maintain buildings and grounds.
• Skilled Maintenance Tasks: Handle basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and painting to support facility upkeep.
• Regular Inspections: Conduct periodic facility checks, identify maintenance needs, and report to management.
• Communication and Collaboration: Work closely with management and colleagues, providing regular updates on tasks.
• Task Tracking and Documentation: Keep organized notes on facility needs and completed work.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• Physical Capability: Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks like standing, bending, and climbing ladders.
• Availability: Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and occasional extended shifts.
• Maintenance Experience: 1+ years of experience in facility maintenance, including carpentry, drywall, painting, electrical, or plumbing.
• Equipment Operation: Familiarity with tools and snow removal equipment like snow blowers or plow trucks.
• Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety procedures and proper equipment use.
