Job summary

SkyBeach Resort in St. Petersburg, FL seeks a Head Engineer to lead all engineering and maintenance operations on-site. You will supervise the team, manage work orders, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities include planning capital improvements, coordinating vendor relationships, and maintaining thorough maintenance records and reports to support guest comfort and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel, resort, or commercial facility engineering with supervision.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems and maintenance.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues and manage multiple projects.
• Familiar with safety standards, local codes, and environmental regulations in hospitality.
• Proficient with maintenance management software and digital work order systems.
• Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams and vendors.
• Experience creating maintenance schedules, budgets, and long-term plans.
• High school diploma required; technical certification or degree strongly preferred.
