Job summary

Balboa Bay Resort in Newport Beach, CA seeks a Senior Director of Engineering responsible for the repairs and maintenance of the property, including hotel, residences, and club facilities. You will oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and energy systems while managing budgets, capital projects, and preventative maintenance.

You will lead a team of supervisors, develop maintenance programs, ensure safety and code compliance, and drive energy conservation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Requires vocational schooling, military training, certification and/or experience in building related trades (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry).
• Three+ years of Director of Engineering experience in hotel/building maintenance/facilities management.
• Experience managing capital expenditures and construction projects preferred.
• Strong ability to set direction, prioritize, and allocate resources; capable of budgeting and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provides guidance to ensure departmental success and leads supervisory teams.
• Develops and manages the maintenance program; negotiates contracts and ensures codes and safety compliance.
• Maintains safe environment, directs emergency programs, and trains team members on safety policies.
