Job summary

Bolton Valley Resort in Vermont is seeking a Head Chef to lead all kitchen operations within the Food and Beverage department. The role oversees food preparation, presentation, staffing, cleanliness, and customer service to ensure exceptional dining experiences.

The Head Chef will manage ~8 kitchen staff, handle inventory, kitchen equipment upkeep, and work with the Director of Food and Beverage on staffing, scheduling, training, and adherence to food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Head Chef responsibilities include managing all kitchen functions, ensuring food preparation and presentation meet standards, supervising staff, maintaining cleanliness and customer service quality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner food
• Cook and replenish food as necessary
• Order food inventory for menu item ingredients
• Oversee the proper functioning and repair of kitchen equipment
• Prep food for each work day
• Oversee the appearance of food displays and the quality of the food being served
• Supervise and motivate a staff of approximately 8 kitchen staff
• Schedule staff work hours
• Train staff in food safety requirements
• Monitor cleanliness of facilities
• Assist in the management of all other food outlet locations around the resort in concert with F&B Director
