Bolton Valley in Bolton, Vermont, is seeking a Head Chef to oversee all kitchen functions, including food preparation, presentation, staff leadership, cleanliness, and delivering excellent guest service. The role requires 3–4 years of chef/cook experience and a high school diploma, with strong organizational and supervisory skills.

This is a full-time, exempt position reporting to the Director of Food and Beverage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• 3–4 years of chef/cook experience.
• Basic organizational, supervisory, food preparation and math skills.

Responsabilités

• Prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner food.
• Cook and replenish food as necessary.
• Order food inventory for menu item ingredients.
• Oversee the proper functioning and repair of kitchen equipment.
• Prep food for each work day.
• Oversee the appearance of food displays and the quality of the food being served.
• Supervise and motivate a staff of approximately 8 kitchen staff including hiring and firing in consultation with the Director of Food and Beverage.
• Schedule staff work hours.
• Train staff in food safety requirements.
• Monitor cleanliness of facilities.
• Assist in the management of all other food outlet locations around the resort in concert with F&B Director.
• Shovel snow near the restaurant entrance.
