Job summary

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions in the Pocono region seeks a Convention Services Manager to lead event planning, from initial concepts through on-site execution, coordinating with clients and internal teams. Successful candidates bring 2–5 years of catering/conference services management, experience handling large multi-day events, and proficiency in Word/Excel; sales experience a plus.

Qualifications

2–5 years of catering manager/conference services manager or similar event planning experience.
Experience detailing & managing large (1000+ people), complex, multi-day events with many moving parts.
Experience negotiating changes in complex programs.
Skilled multi-tasker and proficient with MS Word/Excel.

Responsibilities

Coordinate all aspects of group events from planning through on-site execution.
Communicate event details clearly to internal teams to ensure seamless delivery.
Manage client relationships by providing guidance, support, and timely updates.
Oversee event logistics such as room setups, audiovisual needs, and banquet requirements.
Resolve issues quickly to maintain a high-quality guest experience and smooth operations.
