Job summary

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions in Pocono Manor, PA seeks a Convention Services Manager to coordinate all details of group events, from planning through on-site execution, and to partner with event planners for flawless outcomes.

You’ll manage client relationships, oversee room setups, menus, AV needs, and liaise between clients, resort departments, and vendors to deliver memorable experiences and stress-free events.

Qualifications

• Experience in a hotel/resort with an event space of at least 20,000 sq. ft. and heavy group volume.
• 2-5 years of catering manager/conference services manager or similar event planning experience.
• Experience detailing & managing large (1000+ people), complex, multi-day events with many moving parts.
• Experience negotiating changes in complex programs.
• Sales experience to up-sell food, beverage, and meeting room services is preferred.
• Skilled multi-tasker.
• Competency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Convention Services Manager

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking aConvention Services Manager.In this role, you’ll service assigned groups and special events, preparing both types for successful event execution. You will also work closely with event planners by planning the details of their agenda, room setup up and menu design.

Additionally, you’ll handle bookings for one-day events, as well as prospect for certain social events. You will have the opportunity to optimize revenue goals by suggesting menu enhancements and other resort amenities that align with clients’ needs.
