Pet Paradise's Richmond resort in Virginia is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee day-to-day operations and staff, supporting the Resort Manager on a range of management needs.

The role emphasizes leadership, scheduling, training, and delivering premier service to pet guests and their parents, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and a positive resort environment. The position supports 5‑day workweeks, with 3–4 weekend days per month, onsite at the resort.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of supervisory or management experience.
• High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, including ability to manage and motivate staff.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing daily resort operations, maintaining conduct, cleanliness, and safety.
• Managing resort labor: scheduling, timecards, and labor cost control.
• Recruiting needs communication to HR; interviewing and onboarding new staff.
• Supervising, training and coaching team members on standards and procedures.
• Delivering premier service to pet guests and their parents in a safe, clean, and fun atmosphere.
• Maintaining open communication with regional/corporate teams; coordinating with maintenance.
