Job summary

Water's Edge Resort & Spa is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our Accounting team in Westbrook, CT. Reporting to the Controller, you will handle daily revenue reporting, electronic deposits, and general accounting tasks in a fast-paced resort setting.

Responsibilities include preparing daily reports, auditing transactions, processing deposits, and supporting month-end close. Previous hotel/restaurant experience is a plus; associate degree in accounting or finance preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with cash handling, bookkeeping or accounting in hospitality preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Experience with hotel PMS or POS systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and prepare daily accounting reports.
• Audit transactions and resolve discrepancies.
• Process remote deposits and maintain deposit records.
• Prepare daily revenue, cashier, and labor reports.
• Assist with account reconciliations and general accounting tasks.
• Support timeshare payment processing and month-end reporting.
• Provide administrative support, including mail distribution and reception duties.
• Other duties as assigned.
