Water’s Edge Resort and Spa seeks an experienced Senior Accountant to join the finance team as Accounting Manager. The role covers A/P, A/R, cash management, and GAAP-compliant reporting for multiple entities within a hospitality environment.

The ideal candidate will streamline accounting processes, produce monthly financial statements, and provide senior management with actionable analytics to improve operational efficiency. Leadership and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting with 5+ years hospitality finance experience.
• Experience creating financial statements and reconciling GL accounts.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger and month-end close processes.
• Ability to analyze metrics for hospitality and resort operations.
• Proficient with POS, PMS and standard software applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; staff management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day Accounting Department operations including A/P, A/R, cash management, reconciliations and inventory.
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts.
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements for all entities.
• Provide financial updates to senior management by evaluating, analyzing and reporting metrics.
• Develop and maintain financial controls and guidelines; ensure GAAP compliance.
• Support departments to achieve budgets with timely analysis; assist with strategy.
• Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers and reporting systems; regulatory reporting.
• Maintain internal controls over cash receipts and expense payments.
• Establish benchmarks and reporting standards; implement accounting policies across programs.
• Develop, document and enforce internal controls to protect company assets.

Water’s Edge Resort and Spa is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with hospitality experience to work with the finance team in the role of Accounting Manager. The ideal candidate will have proven industry experience in hospitality accounting. The Accounting Manager will understand each accounting role, to include General Cashier and cash handling, Accounts Receivable billing and collections, Accounts Payable and IT requirements in the hospitality environment. As a strong communicator and skilled financial analyst, you will streamline accounting processes, and perform all related tasks as needed.
