Job summary

Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Office of Resilience and Coastal Protection in Tallahassee, is seeking a Planning Analyst to support the Florida Resilient Program with expertise in engineering, GIS, and environmental science.

Qualifications

• Six years of verifiable related experience; post-secondary degrees may substitute for four years of experience on a year-for-year basis.
• A valid driver’s license and ability to travel.
• Strong communication and data analysis abilities.
• Experience with GIS, data reviews, grant processes.

Responsibilities

• Support Florida Resilient grants and assist in deliverable reviews and eligibility issues.
• Conduct technical reviews of proposed adaptation projects and related data; provide written comments.
• Assist with resilience projects and prepare reports with long-term strategy recommendations.
• Coordinate with ORCP staff, grant applicants, and other agencies to advance projects.
• Develop training materials and assist in education/outreach activities.
• Represent the Florida Resilient staff in meetings and interagency discussions.
