In carrying out the duties of this position, the incumbent is expected at all times to be aware of and abide by the Department's Standards of Conduct, as well as any and all departmental and/or the work unit rules, directives, policies, procedures and/or general orders applicable to perform the duties of this position.
This intermediate environmental position will support the Florida Resilient Program and requires a broad working knowledge of engineering, geology, data science, GIS, and environmental science. Provides technical assistance for planning, funding, permitting, and monitoring of resilience adaptation projects, as well as assisting in the development of policy and procedures.This position requires effective communication and coordination with staff, grant applicants, regional planners, local, state, and federal governmental agencies, and other departmental entities in pursuit of the overall mission to improve resilience to coastal and inland flooding for the state’s critical assets.
