Job summary

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) invites applications for the Senior Program Analyst in Tallahassee. This role supports the Division of State Lands, providing oversight of complex land projects and environmental stewardship for public lands.

Responsibilities include coordinating multi-party transactions, reviewing due diligence items, preparing board materials, and guiding staff through procedural improvements. Background screening is required and travel may be involved.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of state and federal laws, rules and regulations concerning land administration and related activities.
• Skill in operating a computer and data analysis.
• Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data to improve procedures and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with management staff in performing and/or managing the initiating, structuring, negotiating and closing of complex projects involving multiple parties.
• Analyzes and resolves problems relating to required authorizations for uplands and submerged lands, prepares board items and authorization documents.
• Orders and reviews appraisals, environmental site assessments, title work, surveys and other due diligence items.
• Develops, implements and maintains procedures; trains division staff; supports rule development and statute amendments.
• Enters data in databases and generates reports to track workflow.
• Prepares work plans, timelines and process maps to help meet goals and schedules.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
