Job summary

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) seeks a Senior Program Analyst in Tallahassee to support the Division of State Lands. This role handles complex projects, including procurement, leases, and due diligence across uplands and submerged lands, under the Director’s Office.

The successful candidate will analyze data, prepare detailed reports, and coordinate with management to improve operational practices and timelines in a mission-driven state agency.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of state and federal laws, rules, and regulations governing land administration and related activities.
• Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data to develop recommendations and reports.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and coordinate work with others.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with management to initiate, structure, negotiate and close complex land projects.
• Prepare agenda items and authorizations including leases, easements and deeds.
• Oversee due diligence items: appraisals, title work, surveys and environmental assessments.
• Mentor division staff and assist with rule development and statute amendments.
• Enter data in FL-SOLARIS, APIS, SUPRS, BTLDS and related databases; track workflow.
