Job summary

Catholic Charities of Baltimore seeks a Behavioral Specialist to provide crisis support and proactive assistance to youth in residential settings. You will implement safety and TIC-based interventions, following ICMP and program policy, on rotating shifts including mornings, afternoons, and some weekends.

The role requires handling crises using CARE, TIC and TCI methods, and supporting staff while maintaining a safe environment for children aged 5-13 in residential care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 4 years’ experience with children or special populations.
• TCI training within 2 months and CARE training within 3 months provided after hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to residential or school youth to ensure a safe, therapeutic environment.
• Interact with youth and model CARE, TIC and TCI principles.
• Apply interventions to de-escalate and manage crises.
• Counsel youth to process crisis resolution and promote self-control.

Education
