Job summary

Catholic Charities of Baltimore, St. Vincent Villa is seeking Residential Treatment Counselors to support children ages 5-13 in a residential behavioral health program. You will supervise daily living activities, model respectful behavior, and help maintain the therapeutic milieu.

Training provided (TCI and CARE) after hire; 4‑day or 5‑day workweeks with shifts from 6:30AM‑2:30PM or 2:00PM‑10:00PM. Motivated individuals join a trauma-informed care team. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Use CARE model to influence and guide interactions and support.
• Capacity to relate to emotionally disabled children.
• Demonstrate effective oral and written communication with teachers, families, and staff.
• Assess and document information for logs and incident reports.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and assist children in daily living activities to ensure safety and nurturance.
• Model respectful behavior and age-appropriate social interactions.
• Escort children between buildings and appointments for supervision.
• Maintain safety, order, and structure of the therapeutic milieu.
• Utilize therapeutic communication based on diagnosis, age, and development.
