Job summary

GFL Industries is seeking a Residential Driver to safely and courteously provide waste removal services on curbside or backdoor routes. You will operate a residential/recycling collection truck, load waste, and ensure routes are completed on schedule.

The ideal candidate holds a CDL, has at least one year of commercial driving experience, and can perform pre/post-trip inspections, maintain vehicle cleanliness, and communicate effectively with customers and supervisors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; CDL required.
• Minimum one year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate.
• Must meet safety-sensitive criteria per company standards.
• Ability to safely drive truck and operate equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate residential/recycling collection truck on assigned route.
• Load solid waste and recyclables into the vehicle and operate the compactor.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; complete reports and route sheets.
• Identify prohibited waste and tag/remove items as needed.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and assist supervisor with routing efficiency.
