Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or desired.
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
• Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate.
• Ability to meet safety-sensitive criteria and drive the truck safely.

Responsibilities

• Operate residential/recycling collection truck and load waste/recyclables.
• Ensure safe operation and maintenance of truck and equipment.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections and reports.
• Communicate mechanical issues to supervisor promptly.
• Maintain route quality and adhere to safety protocols.
• Identify and tag prohibited waste items and remove them.
• Manage assigned helpers, if applicable.
• Comply with all laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle interior and exterior.
• Report accidents or incidents immediately.
• Attend safety meetings and perform other duties as required.
