Job summary

BestCare Treatment Services seeks a Residential Associate to support clients and staff in our residential program, advocating for excellent patient care in line with BestCare policies and all applicable regulations.

The role involves intake, information gathering, team collaboration, safety rounds, documentation, transport to appointments, and flexible duties to support a therapeutic milieu. Some positions may include lead responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Familiarity with the substance-abusing population and people with disabilities.
• For individuals recovering from addiction, must have maintained continuous recovery for the previous two years at the time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Completes initial intakes as requested by Intake Coordinator, and communicates pertinent details to staff when necessary.
• Collects client information through observation, interviews, and records review.
• Work closely with other staff as a member of a treatment team.
• Provides appropriate Client Care Interventions and communicates clients’ needs to the team.
• Maintains cleanliness of all work areas.
• Maintains a healthy treatment milieu with the team.
• Ensures client safety by round checks and location awareness.
• Upholds Professional Responsibility and Ethics policies.
• Maintains accurate and confidential documentation in client files.
• Answers phones and completes filing.
• Transports residents to medical appointments and self-help groups.
• Performs cleaning duties as assigned.
• Residential Associate II may have additional Team Lead responsibilities.
• Other related duties as assigned by supervisor or program manager.
