Job summary

Partnersforcommunity is seeking compassionate Residential Support Staff to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting, focusing on daily living skills and independence.

Available shifts are First and Second; full-time and part-time opportunities exist. You will document progress, support goal achievement, drive safely to appointments, and maintain accurate records in accordance with DDS guidelines and CPM policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• DDS Medication Certification, First Aid, CPR, and PMT certifications must be obtained within six months of hire and maintained throughout employment.
• Knowledge of Connecticut DDS systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide respectful, person-centered care and support.
• Implement individual goals and support strategies in accordance with DDS guidelines and CPM policies.
• Assist individuals with developing and maintaining daily living skills.
• Implement program goals and document progress according to teaching strategies.
• Transport individuals safely to medical appointments, programs, and community events.
• Maintain accurate vehicle mileage, service, and safety records.
• Document behavioral, medical, and program-related information.
• Respond calmly to emergencies or crisis situations.
• Report safety concerns and changes in condition to supervisors.
• Complete other duties assigned by the Program Coordinator or management.
