Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must possess a valid MI Driver's license.
• Must maintain an acceptable driving record as per insurer criteria.

Responsibilities

• Cares for individuals with disabilities in a residential environment, including community activities.
• Advocates for those served on personal, family, and community levels.
• Observes and documents changes in physical and mental condition.
• Administers first aid and simple nursing procedures as needed.
• Ensures privacy and dignity and reports suspected abuse or neglect.
• Transports individuals to and from community locations using agency or personal vehicle.
• Administers programs to individuals and documents progress.
• Assists in meal preparation, cleaning, light maintenance, and hospitality to visitors.
• Explores opportunities for community participation for those served.
