Job summary

Corporation for Public Management is seeking compassionate Residential Support Staff to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting. You will help enhance daily living skills, support independence, and foster community participation.

We offer first and second shift opportunities on a full-time or part-time basis. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, strong communication, and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Experience with Connecticut DDS systems preferred.
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) and good documentation.
• Ability to communicate effectively and stay calm in emergencies.
• DDS Medication Certification, First Aid, CPR, and PMT certifications must be obtained within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide respectful, person-centered care and support.
• Implement individual goals and support strategies per DDS guidelines and CPM policies.
• Assist individuals with developing and maintaining daily living skills.
• Document progress and maintain accurate records of programs and activities.
• Transport individuals to medical appointments, programs, and community events.
• Maintain vehicle mileage, service, and safety records.
