Job summary
RTR is seeking a Residential Support Specialist to help individuals with developmental disabilities live safely and independently in a residential setting. You will work closely with the Residential Manager to provide hands-on support, skill-building, and daily care that improves quality of life.
This role is active and requires compassion, reliability, and teamwork. A Bachelor’s degree or related experience is acceptable; a valid driver’s license is required and you must complete mandated
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Must complete mandated trainings including medication administration.
- Criminal History Background Check (CORI) required.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support and skill-building in daily living activities.
- Assist individuals with personal care needs such as hygiene, meals, dressing, and mobility.
- Support participation in community activities, appointments, and social events.
- Complete daily documentation and shift reports.
- Administer medications following established procedures.
- Participate in team meetings, training, and ongoing development.
- Provide coaching and support to new staff as directed.
