Job summary

RTR is seeking a compassionate Residential Support Staff to empower individuals with developmental disabilities to live more independently at home and in the community. This full-time role offers meaningful day-to-day impact and collaboration with a dedicated team.

You’ll provide hands-on personal care, help with daily living activities, attend medical appointments, and implement tailored support plans while maintaining safety and a welcoming home environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and the internet.
• Must complete and maintain all mandated trainings, including medication administration.
• Willing to authorize a Criminal History Background Check (CORI) and release of information.
• Reasonable accommodations may be provided to enable essential duties.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with daily living skills such as cooking, hygiene, and routines.
• Provide hands-on personal care and mobility assistance as needed.
• Assist with medical appointments and community activities.
• Implement individualized support and behavioral plans.
• Administer medications following established procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe home environment.
• Provide transportation as required.
• Complete documentation and progress reports.
• Collaborate with team members, families, and care providers.
• Serve as a positive role model and advocate for those supported.
