Job summary

RTR is seeking a Residential Support Specialist to help individuals with developmental disabilities live safely and independently in a residential setting. You will work closely with the Residential Manager to provide hands-on care, skill-building, and daily living support in both home and community environments.

The role requires compassion, reliability, and good communication. A valid driver’s license and a willingness to undergo background checks are essential; training is provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in human services.
• Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Fluent English with strong reading and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support and skill-building in daily living activities.
• Assist with personal care, meals, hygiene, and mobility needs.
• Support participation in community activities and appointments.
• Administer medications following established procedures.
• Complete daily documentation and shift reports.
