Job summary

RTR is seeking a Residential Support Specialist to help individuals with developmental disabilities live safely and independently in a residential setting. You will work with the Residential Manager to provide hands-on support, skill-building, and daily care that improves quality of life.

This highly active role involves personal care, transportation, documentation, and collaboration with the team to implement behavior support plans and coordinate with medical appointments.

Qualifications

• Experience providing direct support in daily living activities.
• Ability to document care and shift reports clearly.
• Strong communication with individuals, families, and team members.
• Must pass background checks and trainings.
• Valid Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support and skill-building in daily living activities.
• Assist personal care needs including hygiene, meals, dressing, and mobility.
• Support participation in community activities, appointments, and events.
• Administer medications following established procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe home environment and complete documentation.
• Attend team meetings and participate in ongoing development.
