Job summary

Job Path, Inc. is seeking Residential Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with developmental disabilities in living in their own homes and participating in community life.

DSPs provide support while empowering residents to own their tasks and choices. Responsibilities include skill coaching, community involvement, and daily living activities, with a focus on respect, safety, and clear communication.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and ability to document clearly.
• Punctuality and consistent attendance are essential.
• Basic computer literacy to complete case notes and timesheets.

Responsibilities

• Encouraging personal skill development in all areas by modeling and coaching.
• Building self-esteem by doing things together, not doing everything for them.
• Providing opportunities for new experiences.
• Getting involved in the community through recreation, shopping, and relationships.
• Encouraging individuals to make choices and decisions and learn to act on them.
• Building a respectful relationship to offer support and guidance when needed.
• Assisting with housing, shopping, and personal responsibilities such as banking and appointments.
• Monitoring social situations to help individuals feel comfortable and build relationships.
• Reading and documenting logs and communications before and after shifts.
