Job summary

Corporation for Public Management in Connecticut seeks compassionate Residential Support Staff to provide hands‑on support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting. You will help individuals strengthen daily living skills, participate in communities, and live as independently as possible.

As a team member, you will deliver person‑centered care, implement goals per DDS guidelines, and document progress.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Knowledge of Connecticut DDS systems preferred.
• Basic computer skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to communicate effectively and document accurately.
• DDS Certification, First Aid, CPR, and PMT certifications must be obtained within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide respectful, person‑centered care and support.
• Assist individuals with developing and maintaining daily living skills and personal goals.
• Document progress according to established teaching strategies.
• Transport individuals to medical appointments, programs, and community events.
• Maintain accurate vehicle mileage, service, and safety records.
• Report serious incidents and changes in an individual’s condition to the supervisor.
• Complete other duties assigned by the Program Coordinator or management team.
