Job summary

Corporation for Public Management is seeking compassionate Residential Support Staff to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting in Connecticut. You will help strengthen daily living skills, support personal goals, and promote independent living within a community setting.

The role includes documenting progress, transporting participants safely to appointments and activities, and ensuring timely reporting of changes or incidents to supervisors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Knowledge of Connecticut DDS systems preferred.
• Basic computer skills including Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Provide respectful, person-centered care and support.
• Implement goals and strategies per DDS guidelines and CPM policies.
• Assist individuals with developing and maintaining daily living skills.
• Document progress according to established teaching strategies.
• Transport individuals to medical appointments and community activities.
• Maintain vehicle mileage, service and safety records.
• Report incidents and changes in an individual’s condition to supervision.
• Accurately document medical, behavioral and program-related information.
