Job summary

The Salvation Army Indiana Division is seeking a Residential Support Specialist to monitor clients' health, assist with admissions and discharges, and provide a safe, caring environment. You will support clinical staff and conduct basic screenings while upholding confidentiality and program policies.

The role requires strong communication, English proficiency, familiarity with EMR systems, and the ability to work weekends/evenings.

Qualifications

Able to speak, write and understand English for effective communication with leadership and clients.
Computer proficiency with Microsoft products and ability to learn electronic reporting systems.
Bilingual Spanish preferred for client interactions.
If in recovery, must demonstrate at least two years of sobriety with stability.

Responsibilities

Adhere to policy and procedures of The Salvation Army Harbor Light Center.
Teach educational classes as assigned and maintain materials.
Provide documentation of class attendance and progress notes to case manager and counselor.
Interact with clients and provide empathetic support without counseling.
Assist in admission and discharge processes and prepare rooms as needed.
Attend staff meetings and participate in client activities.
Maintain client confidentiality according to standards.
