Job summary

The Salvation Army Southern California is seeking a full-time Support Staff member to supervise the residential living environment and support continuum clients under the Clinical Support Services Supervisor. The role may include overnight supervision and back-up to Detox staff in emergencies.

Responsibilities include coordinating client appointments, providing program orientation, and assisting with crisis management while maintaining knowledge of Programs Policy and Procedures.

Qualifications

• GED or equivalent required; AA degree preferred
• At least one year experience with substance abuse treatment clients or social services
• Must have effective written and verbal communication skills
• Must have a current driver’s license
• Able to relate well with substance abuse clients

Responsibilities

• Supervise safety and security of the residential living environment
• Coordinate clients' community appointments and monitor attendance
• Provide program orientation to new admissions
• Coordinate room assignments and kitchen crew schedules
• Provide daily client services such as educational sessions and group activities
• Assist with crisis management and related case management as needed
