Job summary

Chimes is seeking a dedicated professional to provide personal support in the residence for individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring programs and activities align with each person’s plan.

You will supervise and train adults with developmental disabilities, promote independence in daily living, and communicate needs to staff, while meeting safety and medical guidelines and maintaining required records.

Qualifications

• Must have a driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift, pull, and push adequate weight (may exceed 50 pounds).
• Commitment to enhancing the lives of people with intellectual disabilities.
• Must work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal support in the residence and engage with the person served daily.
• Supervise and train adults with developmental disabilities per individual plans.
• Ensure the house reflects each person's preferences and needs.
• Teach independence in daily living activities such as budgeting and hygiene.
• Communicate with day program staff about individual programs.
• Monitor safety and medical procedures as per PMOF and MAR.
• Transport persons served to appointments and activities.
• Attend meetings and participate in in-service training.
• Maintain records and reports including monthly and incident reports.
• Work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays.
