Job summary

Chimes is seeking dedicated aides to support students with intellectual and behavioral challenges in a structured classroom setting. You will supervise individuals or small groups under the teacher, assist with IEP implementation, and participate in inclusive vocational programs while maintaining safety and accurate records.

Strong teamwork, compassion, and reliability are essential, with daily living tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or 45 credits or Para Pro Assessment.
• Experience in care and instruction of children.
• Teamwork and collaborative ability in a school setting.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the activity of an individual student, or group of students, under the teacher's direction.
• Assists in implementing the student’s IEP.
• Implements Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP), Medical Protocol, and/or Sensory Diet per IEP.
• Participates in school-wide vocational programs and work experiences as stated in the IEP.
• Interacts with students appropriately for their age and development.
• Maintains safety and observes rules to prevent injuries.
• Utilizes behavior management techniques as directed.
• Attends meetings and trainings to support student progress.
