Job summary

Chimes is seeking a dedicated caregiver to provide personal support in a residence setting for individuals with developmental disabilities. You will engage daily activities, promote independence, and ensure individualized plans are followed with care and compassion.

The role requires lifting, driving, and flexible scheduling including nights, weekends, and holidays. Comprehensive training and strong teamwork are emphasized to support residents' growth and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must have a driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
• Must be able to lift, pull, and push adequate weight (may be >50 pounds).

Responsibilities

• Work in the residence of a person served as a personal support and engage with them in daily activities.
• Provide supervision and training to adults with developmental disabilities to support growth.
• Ensure the house is personalized to each person’s preferences and needs.
• Assist with daily living skills such as mobility, budgeting, hygiene, and meals.
• Communicate needs and house operations to the Community Support Manager promptly.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness in the home and surroundings.
• Administer medications as prescribed and perform three-way checks.
• Attend meetings and participate in ongoing training and development.
