Job summary

The Arc of San Diego is seeking a Residential Specialist to provide direct, person-centered care in a home setting for individuals with disabilities. You’ll empower clients to engage in daily life, make choices, and gain independence on a Thurs-Sat 3p-11p schedule in Santee, CA.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED, six months of relevant experience, and a valid CA driver’s license with insurance. Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus; Therap experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Six (6) months experience working with individuals with disabilities.
• Valid California Driver’s License, current auto insurance, and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on, person-centered care in a residential setting.
• Assist with daily activities like personal care, hygiene, eating, cooking, cleaning, getting dressed and undressed, mobility, and personal organization.
• Encourage independence by supporting individuals in achieving personal goals.
• Create a safe, respectful, and engaging home environment.

About the Role:

As a Residential Specialist, you’ll provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities in a home environment. Using a person-centered approach, you’ll empower clients to engage in daily life, make choices, and gain independence.

Schedule: Thurs- Sat 3p-11p

Location: Santee

Pay: The pay for this position is $20.00 to $20.65
