Job summary

The Arc of San Diego in Lakeside is seeking a compassionate Residential Specialist to provide hands-on, person-centered care for individuals with disabilities in a home setting.

This part-time role offers a schedule Thu/Fri 6AM-11AM and 1:30PM-4PM, plus Sat 6AM-2PM, with opportunities for training, career growth, and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Six months experience working with individuals with disabilities.
• Valid California Driver’s License, current auto insurance, and a clean driving record.
• A passion for making a difference!
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on, person-centered care in a residential setting.
• Assist with daily activities like personal care, hygiene, eating, cooking, cleaning, getting dressed and undressed, mobility, and personal organization.
• Encourage independence by supporting individuals in achieving personal goals.
• Create a safe, respectful, and engaging home environment.

About the Role:

As a Residential Specialist, you’ll provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities in a home environment. Using a person-centered approach, you’ll empower clients to engage in daily life, make choices, and gain independence.

Location: Lakeside

Schedule: THURS-FRI 6AM-11AM & 1:30PM-4PM, SAT 6AM-2PM

Pay: The pay for this position is $20.00 to $20.00
