Job summary

The Arc of San Diego seeks a Residential Specialist to provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities in a home environment. You will empower clients to engage in daily life, make choices, and gain independence in a person-centered approach.

Location: Spring Valley; Pay: $20.00 to $20.65 per hour; Schedule: Thurs-Fri 6a-11a, Sat-Sun 6a-2p, Mon 6a-10a. Join a compassionate team dedicated to meaningful community living.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six (6) months experience with individuals with disabilities.
• Valid California Driver’s License, current auto insurance, and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on, person-centered care in a residential setting.
• Assist with daily activities like personal care, hygiene, eating, cooking, cleaning, getting dressed and undressed, mobility, and personal organization.
• Encourage independence by supporting individuals in achieving personal goals.
• Create a safe, respectful, and engaging home environment.

About the Role:

As a Residential Specialist, you’ll provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities in a home environment. Using a person-centered approach, you’ll empower clients to engage in daily life, make choices, and gain independence.

Location: Spring Valley

Pay: The pay for this position is $20.00 to $20.65

Schedule: Thurs- Fri 6a-11a Sat & Sun 6a-2p, Mon 6a-10a
