The Arc of San Diego is seeking a Residential Specialist Floater to provide direct support across San Diego County, moving between homes to foster independence and inclusion for residents with developmental disabilities. A typical day includes helping with daily living, transporting between sites, supporting residents’ goals, and assisting with medications when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Six (6) months experience working with individuals with disabilities
• Strong communication and adaptability skills
• Valid California Driver's License, current auto insurance, and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Traveling between designated residential homes as needed to provide direct support.
• Assisting residents with daily living activities, personal care, and participation in meaningful activities.
• Supporting residents in achieving their Individual Program Plan goals and fostering independence.
• Administering medications and monitoring health-related needs.
• Creating a safe, respectful, and engaging home environment.
