Job summary

Arc-of-SAN-Diego-1 is seeking a Residential Specialist to provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities in a home environment. By using a person-centered approach, you will empower clients to engage in daily life, make choices, and gain independence. Location: Santee.

Pay: $20.00 to $20.65 per hour. Schedule: Sun–Wed 3p–11p. A typical day includes hands-on, person-centered care; assisting with daily activities; encouraging independence; and creating a safe, respectful home

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months experience working with individuals with disabilities.
• Valid California Driver’s License, current auto insurance, and a clean driving record.
• A passion for making a difference!

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on, person-centered care in a residential setting.
• Assist with daily activities like personal care, hygiene, eating, cooking, cleaning, getting dressed and undressed, mobility, and personal organization.
• Encourage independence by supporting individuals in achieving personal goals.
• Create a safe, respectful, and engaging home environment.
