Job summary

Sunrise Community Church Corporation in Miami, FL is hiring a Direct Support Professional to provide support and supervision to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them live valued lives in the community. You will supervise staff, deliver training and feedback, implement therapy and behavior plans, and ensure health, safety, and rights protections.

A pre-employment background and drug screening are required, along with a valid driver’s license and basic computer

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license with endorsements.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of driving experience.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Pre-employment background and drug screenings.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and reports abuse or violations of an individual’s rights.
• Supervises and maintains a positive team of staff with guidance and oversight.
• Provides training and constructive feedback through positive interactions and mentoring.
• Implements therapy, training and behavior programs and data collection as required.
• Ensures home offers activities in a positive, person-directed environment.
• Maintains compliance with agency directives, licensing standards, policies and procedures.
