Job summary

The Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services seeks a Residential Services Director to oversee ten homes in the Northeast region, providing 24-hour residential supports for 43 individuals. You will lead staff, manage budgets, ensure safety, and maintain compliance with regulations.

The role requires on-call responsibilities 24/7, liaison with families and state offices, and a focus on Human Rights adherence and program integrity.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of full-time or equivalent part-time management experience in business/public administration or clinical management, with supervisory responsibility.
• Experience overseeing multiple facilities and budget oversight.
• Experience ensuring compliance with state regulations and human rights requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct oversight to 10 homes within the Northeast Residential Services, coordinating staff and resources.
• Leads crisis and emergency management to ensure resident health and safety.
• Manages budgets, overtime, staffing, and facility upkeep for 10 homes and 12 0 staff.
• Oversees hiring decisions, labor relations, and overtime mitigation strategies.
• Maximizes funding through federal reimbursement and SNAP program oversight.
• Ensures staff training on Human Rights and compliance with DPPC/Investigations rules.
• Maintains ISP adherence and reports via HCSIS and SSTA; serves as hiring manager in Mass Careers.
• Acts as liaison to families/guardians and to Area/Regional Offices.
