Job summary

LifeMoves is seeking a Part-Time Residential Service Coordinator for the First Step for Families program in San Mateo. The role covers weekend shifts (Sat/Sun) and involves welcoming clients, coordinating rooms, meals, and supplies, and supporting safety and calm operations.

Reporting to the Operations & Services Manager, you will respond to client needs, assist volunteers, and help move families toward housing stability with empathy and professionalism.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 2-3 years of related experience may substitute.
• Comfortable using basic technology: phone, email, Microsoft and Google Suites, and databases.
• Commitment to DEIB, respectful engagement, empathy, and professional boundaries.
• Emotional regulation and de-escalation skills for crisis moments.
• Strong documentation, organization, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide calm, supportive crisis response and connect clients to resources.
• Monitor site safety through rounds and observations; report issues.
• Manage meals, supplies, donations, inventory, and storage.
• Assist with welcomes, move-ins/outs, and space preparation.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct; participate in trainings.
