F.F. Hitchcock Company is seeking a full-time Residential Service Plumber in Cheshire, CT. Expect to diagnose issues, perform repairs, and manage 5–7 calls daily using flat-rate pricing, while maintaining professional service in homes.

$26-$40 per hour based on experience and level

THE TYPE OF CANDIDATE WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Active Connecticut P-2 journeyperson license
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Willingness to participate in the on-call rotation

Residential service experience specifically, rather than new construction, ankless water heater expertise, well and pump experience, water treatment knowledge, gas piping experience, familiarity with flat-rate pricing, comfort using a tablet for job documentation and photos, and experience mentoring apprentices are preferred.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY AS A RESIDENTIAL SERVICE PLUMBER

This is a full-time plumbing position, and employees report to a central location before traveling throughout the service area to complete scheduled service calls.

As our Residential Service Plumber, you'll diagnose problems, present repair options using a flat-rate pricing system, and complete repairs involving fixtures, water heaters, tankless systems, supply and drain lines, gas piping, wells and pumps, and water treatment equipment. You'll typically manage five to seven service calls per day while providing professional, respectful service in occupied homes. As a Service Tech 3, you'll also step in for complex escalated calls, tackle challenging jobs, and help mentor apprentices as they develop their skills.
