F. F. Hitchcock Company in Cheshire, CT is hiring a full-time HVAC Installer to join a two-person crew installing furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, air handlers, ductwork, line sets, controls, and related components.

You will commission every system to ACCA standards and document your work on a tablet, ensuring a professional finished product for homeowners. Starting as an Apprentice with Install Tech 1 or as Install Tech 2/3 with CT D-2 or S-2 licenses, you will have growth opportunities, mentor

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift, work on ladders, and access attics/crawlspaces.
• Install Tech 2/3 requires active CT D-2 or S-2 journeyperson license; Tech 1 is an apprentice.
• EPA 608 certification preferred.
• Experience delivering or leading two-person crews and customer-facing work.

Responsibilities

• Install furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, air handlers, ductwork, and related components with a two-person crew.

When you become our HVAC Installer, you will earn $20.00 - $42.00 per hour depending on experience, level, and license. Full-time role serving customers throughout Greater New Haven County and Central Connecticut.

As our HVAC Installer, you'll install furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, air handlers, ductwork, line sets, controls, and related HVAC components alongside a two-person crew. You'll commission every system to ACCA standards, document your work using a tablet, and ensure each homeowner receives a professional finished product. As you advance, you'll have opportunities to lead projects, mentor apprentices, and manage customer communication from start to finish.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift, work on ladders, and work in attics and crawlspaces
• Install Tech 2 and 3: an active Connecticut D-2 or S-2 journeyperson license
• No license is required for Install Tech 1 -- we register you as an apprentice with the CT Department of Labor and your hours count toward licensure from day one

Preferred Qualifications

• EPA 608 certification
• Residential changeout experience - furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, air handlers
• Sheet metal and duct fabrication skills
• Experience commissioning to ACCA standards or having been held to measured airflow and static pressure
• Experience running a two-person crew
• Ability to handle customer conversations directly
• Comfortable with a tablet for job documentation
