Job summary

CPI Security seeks a Residential Upgrade Technician to perform in-home upgrades of our residential systems and establish rapport with customers. You will identify opportunities to add products and services while ensuring complete satisfaction with the upgrade process.

Responsibilities include upgrading systems, meeting performance goals, and conducting home walkthroughs to optimize configurations. You will coordinate with management and maintain a professional appearance and safety standards at

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; electronics/technical training a plus.
• Strong upselling and closing abilities preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills required.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Upgrade residential security systems accurately and efficiently.
• Meet or exceed performance goals.
• Conduct home walkthrough to optimize configurations and upsell opportunities.
• Keep customer informed about upgrade steps and wiring needs.
• Connect in-home system to central monitoring and demonstrate operation.
• Submit billing and payroll paperwork timely and accurately.
• Maintain safety and prevent damage or loss of materials.
• Provide exceptional customer service at all times.
• Consult with management on issues or concerns.
• Clean up work area after upgrades.
• Maintain company equipment and vehicles.
• Maintain professional appearance and demeanor.
