Job summary

CPI Security in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Residential Installation Technician to install our home security solutions for residential and commercial customers. You will assess customer needs, perform system configurations, and upsell additional products and services while ensuring safety and quality.

The role offers performance-based income with 60,000 annual average earnings, paid training, and uncapped commissions.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; electronics/electrical/HVAC/technical training at trade school or community college, a plus
• Good sales skills with strong up-selling and closing abilities
• Alarm, cable installation, or telecom experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Servicing residential security systems accurately and efficiently
• Meeting or exceeding performance goals on a consistent basis
• Performing walkthrough of home to determine the optimal system configuration, and to identify up-selling opportunities
• Keeping the customer informed at all times of what the service process will entail
• Connecting in-home system up to our central monitoring system, activating system and performing customer demonstration
• Maintaining good administrative responsibility by submitting billing and payroll paperwork in a timely and accurate manner
• Ensuring the highest level of safety and responsibility to avoid injury, property damage or loss of unused materials
• Providing exceptional customer service at all times
• Consulting with management on any issues or concerns
• Cleaning up work area thoroughly
• Maintaining all company equipment, including truck, tools, inventory
• Maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor
