Job summary

Housing Works in New York, NY is seeking a Residential Aide to ensure the wellbeing and safety of clients during shifts 8am–4pm, 4pm–12am, and 12am–8am. The role operates seven days a week with holiday coverage and requires strong communication and de-escalation skills.

You will enforce policies, build rapport with clients, maintain confidentiality, and support staff. The position offers three healthcare plans, PTO totaling up to 30 days in the first year, and educational benefits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Enforce program policies and procedures with clients.
• Build rapport with clients and engage professionally.
• De-escalate tense or hostile situations when needed.
• Ensure safety and security of residents and facility.
• Conduct routine facility walk-throughs and maintain cleanliness.
• Communicate resident behavior with clinical staff.
• Maintain confidentiality and high-quality customer service.
• Support advocacy and outreach efforts as needed.
