Job summary

Housing Works, Inc. is seeking a Residential Aide for City View, Long Island City. The role ensures client wellbeing and safety across shifts, with crisis intervention support as needed.

The RA works 8am–4pm, 4pm–12am, and 12am–8am on a 7-day schedule, including holidays. Candidates should be comfortable with confidential work, de-escalation, and delivering high-quality client service in a homeless/HIV/AIDS supportive setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Must pass comprehensive background check to work in facility with children.

Responsibilities

• The RA enforces program policies and procedures.
• Build rapport with clients and engage professionally.
• De-escalate tense situations when necessary.
• Ensure safety, security and integrity of residents and facility.
• Provide meals and assist with storage and cleanliness.
• Monitor and report resident behavior to clinical staff.
