Job summary

Housing Works is seeking a Residential Aide to ensure client wellbeing and safety across shifts from 8am to 4pm, 4pm to 12am, and 12am to 8am. The role supports crisis intervention, enforces codes of conduct, and maintains a secure residential environment seven days a week.

Applicants should have at least one year of experience, strong communication and customer service skills, and a valid S-95 certificate within 80 days. Proficiency with MS Outlook/Word/Excel is expected.

Qualifications

• At least one year of work experience.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
• Ability to work with the homeless population.
• Must possess a Certificate of Fitness for Supervision of Fire-Alarm Systems (S-95) within eighty (80) days of employment.
• Able to lift 20lbs. with proper assistance.

Responsibilities

• Enforce and uphold the program's Code of Conduct with clients.
• Build rapport with clients and interact professionally and respectfully.
• De-escalate tense or hostile situations when necessary.
• Ensure the safety, security and integrity of residents and the facility.
• Submit Shift Reports and Incident Reports as required.
